Before Your Appointment

Be sure that you allow enough time off from work or school activities so that you are not anxious about returning. When making your appointment, you may want to ask about how long it will take, then add some additional time to that. If you have not visited us for a while, your appointment may take slightly longer than usual. 

Brush and Floss

Be sure to brush and floss before you arrive, just don't overdo it. Go about it in a normal way so that everything is cleared up and your breath will be fresh for your appointment.

Preparations for Children

Even if your children have already visited the dentist a few times, it can still be difficult to get them into the car and prepared if they have any anxiety about any part of the process. Explain to them what is involved and that there is no reason to be afraid. Ensuring that your child is calm before their appointment leads to a much better experience for everyone involved.

Additional Notes

Some dental offices are open for direct care visits. If you should have a dental emergency, we are also at your disposal.

Please keep in mind that everyone in the office is required to wear a mask. If you don't have a mask, you will be provided with one at the office.

Please remove any mouth jewelry prior to your dental appointment, including mouth piercings or tongue rings. Doing so will prevent complications with your treatment. 

Do not wear any lipstick or glosses. This will allow us to perform a complete oral cancer check. Lipstick can camouflage any lip blemishes that should be noted during a complete exam.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, please immediately reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing symptoms like fever, coughing, muscle pain, sore throat or newly acquired loss of sense of taste or smell.
